Acute oral LD50 for rats >5000mg/kg; acute dermal LD50 for rabbits >2000mg/kg. Irritating to rabbits skin and eyes. May cause medium allergic reaction to guinea-pig skin. Acute inhalation LC50 (4hr)>5.71 g/m3. Ames test showed no mutagenicity at >5 g/kg for rats.
Acute oral LD50 for mallard >4640 mg/kg; LC50 >4640 mg/kg for mallard and bobwhite quail,In one generation extension study, NOEL dose for bobwhite quail >20 ppm, mallard 0.1 ppm, threshold concentration for reproductive toxicity 2 ppm.
LC50 for rainbow trout and bluegill sunfish (96 h) both >1000 mg/l, and non-toxic in the soluble range. LC50 for water flea (48 h) 265.7 ug/l.
